Have a look in the numerous dog rescue homes. There are many dogs both young and old which are in need of loving homes. We got our Border Collie from the RSPCA when she was 1 year old and she is now 16 and a bit frail, but she has been the best dog ever. We also have 2 other rescue dogs. They really do make the best of pets.

I hope you have done your research as border collies need a heck of a lot of mental stimulation and exercise. Minimum 4 hours a day - or they get totally bored and display bad behaviour!

Good luck with your search - but - please take my word they do need a lot of looking after as a pet - unless you are going to work your dog of course.

have you tried your local paper, newsagents window. Friday adds usually have pups, if not try these web sites, they are very good. Please make sure you see at least mum, when you buy your pup, and dont get caught up with the big con from aboard, they will offer cheap pups and shipping is cheap, but all you do is a money transfer, and wait, but no pup at the end of it just an empty bank account! Good luck

well I am not sure where BUT I will warn where not too!! DO NOT buy fromHNR Ranch in Groesbeck because most of their dogs are NOT full blooded ( they do not keep their males and females seperate and have 4 different breeds of dogs). altho sometimes you can get some good deals and maybe even free puppy who MIGHT be Full blood... if you were to go there just be careful how much you pay!!! and atke a GOOD look around while you are there.

i would start by calling the humane shelter. you may find one there and if not, you may find another dog that would be just as nice for you. do you know what they do to the dogs they can't find homes for?

Please, if you can, rehome one. You could still get a puppy but when it's from a rescue home- your giving it a second chance!
