Does the Canon PowerShot SD600 battery be charged by USB?

I'm in Shanghai and my parents forgot to bring their charger. The battery is lasting pretty long considering. I have my laptop with me and I also have the usb charger for my Verizon XV6700 pocket pc phone. Can the camera be charged via USB or do I have to seek out a new charger for the battery? Thanks in advance.

Nope. According to the manual, the 2LV charger must be directly placed on an outlet and the 2LVE charger must be connected to a power cord, which connects to the outlet. No USB connection for either model. Sorry.
