how many people will a 12lb turkey feed? want it to last more than just christmas day.

Depends on how many people are eating it to start with the one i had for thanksgiving was 10 to 12lbs it feed 8 people with plenty left over but we had ham and all the fixens

Not an easy one to answer 'cos I guess it depends on how hungry you all are! I was always taught to allow 2lb uncooked weight per adult. This allows for a good portion each, as well as having enough over for, maybe, a turkey sandwich or turkey supreme the next day. You also have to allow for the fact that you have a lot of waste with a turkey - they have heavy bones! Whatever size you buy, hope you enjoy it. Merry Christmas Ho Ho Ho!!

About 5 to 6 adults but you may not have a lot left over.

I didnt think size mattered, it was the motion of... Oh wait, Your turkey is relatively small. I know my family cooks at the very least two turkeys and a ham or two and we are only 14 people sometimes more.
