most of us today r so obsessed with the media n the western culture that even a so called hindu husband would b a rare thing to come by. practically speaking i think the expectations in todays world would b as what others have posted. but theoritically or idealistically speaking, it is very far from what we see today in the world
whats a hindu?
H- Humanity
I- individuality
N- nationality
D- Divinity
U- unity
these r the qualities that is expected from a hindu. a husband hewould expect love, mutual respect, cooperation, respect for elders(in laws), devotion to god, gives importance to culture n tradition, willin to sacrifice, the qualities r important not becoz she is a wife, but also would b a mother who would nurture her children. surely, he would know that just as much this is expected from the wife, he would b prepared to meet the expectations of his wife. he would revere n respect his wife as his own self. not just as n equal but as half of his own self.

There is no question of any expectation in Hinduism. Both Husband and wife have been assigned their roles with equal dignity and power and they are expected to maintain a gruhasta asrama doing the five types of poojas jointly every day to full fill their vow taken during the marriage in front of Fire as witness,
The other invitees are also witness to the promise done.

Love, loyalty, compassion, intelligence, maturity and being independent without being bossy.
Of course this will also be reciprocated.
Are you a Hindu or non-Hindu woman?
What's with the negative rating? LOL Some people have a problem with the truth. Just because there are SOME Hindu men out there who want their wives to cook and f*ck all the time doesn't mean all Hindu men are like that.

True Hindu Men r nearly extinct ....
as per Vedas his expectations should b the seven woes that r given by the girl to the boy (during the marriage). after this the knot is tied. in return he also is expected to take woes for the girl.
in today's life most of the so called Hindu Men expect the lady to take up all his responsibilities and release him for his leisure.

Most of the traits seen by a husband are the same, universally. Hindu husbands are rather possesive, so any extra marital would not....
