They are a religion. "Cult" and "gang" are demeaning slurs used by intolerant christians who are offended by anyone trying to build onto or alter their religion in any way.
P.S I'm not religious at all. Just an impartial 3rd party.

There are some Mormons who are cult members. But Mormons, in general, simply believe that a guy named Joseph Smith, Jr. saw God and found some ancient looking plates and translated them into what is called the Book of Mormon. They believe that Jesus visited the ancient Americans and told them to restore the church, because the church had lost it's way. I'm not a Mormon. But I know one woman who is a Mormon, and she's one of the finest examples of a Christian I know. She's non judgmental, she exemplifies Christ in her everyday life, and she loves people. I'm not sure about Joseph Smith, Jr. But, who knows? Maybe he did get a visit from God. Lots of people say that anything written after the Bible could not be true because of the verses in Revelation. Here they are: Revelation 22:18 "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:"
22:19 "And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book."
What a lot of folks don't realize is that those verses are talking about the Book of Revelation, not the entire Holy Bible. If that was true, then the Bible would be all wrong after the Book of Deuteronomy. Because it says basically the same thing in it.
Sorry, I'm rambling again. Peace.

Mormon is a term used to refer to adherents of the Latter Day Saint movement, and most commonly to the movement's original and largest group, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The term is derived from the Book of Mormon, a religious text that Joseph Smith, Jr. translated from ancient plates containing a history of the early inhabitants of the Americas that was compiled by a prophet called Mormon. Although identified as a denomination of Protestantism, Mormons do not consider themselves to be Protestants and do not recognize themselves as part of any larger branch of Christianity, but do consider themselves Christians.

Neither. Mormons are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
We are just ordinary people trying to live the gospel and constantly getting ridiculed for our high standards, love of our faith, learning from the Book of Mormon and Bible, and spreading the gospel.
We invite all to come unto Christ, seek for the right, be baptized and enjoy the blessings of the temple.
If you really want to know, invite some missionaries over, or I would be willing to answer any questions you might have...

I am constantly amazed at the ridiculous comments that are made concerning Mormons. (There are a lot of people that have no clue what they are talking about) If you would like some correct information please check out the following website:
