Does anyone know of any organisations locally, that accept good quality presents for distribution to families in crisis this year?

Hi, have searched on the internet for organisations that accept hands-on practical help in the form of collecting presents for local children in poverty this christmas.
It appears that 'Shelter' and 'Salvation Army' doesn't accept that kind of hands-on help (working at a shelter is ok but not this).
My sons would like to collect presents from fellow students at college, for them to be wrapped, so that they can take them somewhere for distribution.

I know this sounds like the "Operation Christmas Child shoebox" scheme - but that is not what I mean.

I am not in the UK, but maybe you could contact some of the schools.
Many schools have families in need or who had a family crisis and can't afford Christmas.
You could then donate directly to the family.

You could also contact the hospitals/medical centers. Maybe your sons could collect and then take them to children who are stuck in the hospital for Christmas.

It is great that you want to help. Good Luck!
