This question brought a very perverse image in my mind.

However, warm, buttered toast sounds quite nice, to be honest.

No, I cannot abide butter or any sort of greasy spread on bread. I have my marmalade straight onto the dry toast.

i love hot buttered toast, with homemade bread and home made butter if possible with "kaya", a coconut jam made from coconuts, sugar and eggs. serve with a hot cup of freshly ground butter coffee and some semi soft boiled eggs. YUM!!!!!!

Actually, that sounds delicious! When I was a kid, my mom used to sprinkle a little sugar on it too and I used to love it!
