In all honesty it depends what type of cigar you are smoking. differnt tastes go better with different drinks. however someone else got it right, historically cigars were smoked after dinner with a good port or sherry. i however do not like either so my husband and I smoke our cigars with a glass of glenlivet or really good brandy, you might have to spend some money but it is worth it in the long run. you can't really put a price on really good taste. :)

I enjoy a nice scotch on the rocks with a cigar. Especially on the balcony, or on a patio outside with a friend

Completely depends on what I'm smoking. Typically scotch or a glass of wine, but I've had cigars that have gone amazingly well with rum, cognac, port...

I enjoy a small brandy snifter of Cognac myself. Other cordial drinks compliment well. Depends on the maturity of the palate as well. Older folks enjoy more intensity and complexity of flavors due to a more experienced taste.

When I was young, JD and coke ;0)

First choice, scotch. Second choice, bourbon. Third, Cognac.
But port or cream sherry would do too if the above are not available.
