Tylenol with Codeine, does anyone know how long it takes to feel some pain relief from this medicine?.

Doctor said take 2 tablets every 4 hours. Since it is 3am in the morning a pharmacy isn't open to ask.

Try Aleve . The x brand aleve will be labeled naproxen sodium. This usually helps me with the worst pain.

Short of that, if you can actually smoke a little weed without getting into trouble, the stuff is supposed to be as effective if not more than codeine to control pain. Of course, I am not recommending that you break the law, as that would surely constitute a violation of community guidelines...

Codeine and vicodin/hydrocodone are addictive. PLease give the aleve a try before moving on to anything stronger. You may be surprised at what it can do for you.

I hope you get better.

If you are not feeling relief within the hour then you are not going to feel relief from the drug at all. Narcotics are fast acting, so it is time for a switch to some thing stronger..

It tends to be fairly quick. Here in the UK, acetaminophen is called paracetamol, and has been used with codeine for some time. Be careful though, it can make you a bit loopy, and make you very tired.

Yeah, and be careful, too much can really hurt you. I'd call your doc in the am if no relief, you may need some hydrocodone or something similar.

About half an hour, your body needs to break it down. I usually drink lots of water with them(like two 16oz bottles) for pills and if its a syrup not much water.
