To fly on an airplane alone you need at least 16 years and a pilot licence.. ;)
But seriously, I think I know what you mean...
If you want to know if you are allowed to travel without permission of your parents, the answer is no, at least not outside your country. The immigration laws vary from country to country, but in most of them you need a written permission from your parents if you are below 18, and in some even if you are below 21.
Flying itself as a passenger under-age is not prohibited (in theory), but the flight companies will have to assure that you will be able to enter your destination country, otherwise they will be responsible for your return flight.

Domestically children under 5, and internationally children under 6, must travel with an escort. Children over these age limits may travel alone, and are classified as unaccompanied minors

Domestic Travel
Under 5 years Children under 5 must be accompanied by a person 15 years or over who is an immediate family member or who has written permission from the child's parent or guardian.
5 to 11 years (inclusive) Simply complete the Qantas 'Unaccompanied Minor' form in the red 'Unaccompanied Minor' wallet available from Qantas Travel Centres within Australia, Travel Agents or your local Qantas office.
12 to 15 years (inclusive) Children aged between 12 and 15 years can travel as Unaccompanied Minors only at the request of their parent or guardian. If no request is made, there will be no special arrangements.

I fly on US airlines in specific circumstances. There coverage is that 5-14 365 days olds can fly unaccompanied yet basically on non-end flights. there is likewise one greater $one hundred fee for doing so. I think of that different airlines are very comparable. Their internet site could have all the help someplace, possibly interior the FAQ area.

You can be even a child, the air hostesses are notified, the parents give you to their care at the airport and they escort you and take care of you. I have done this when I was 12, and I had a great time, the hostesses were always checking on me and getting me peanuts and juices!

The age minimum recently changed, both for national and international flights. I think it is now 14 but you could log onto any airline website and check.

I worked for the airlines for years. The average age is 5, but each airline has different rules.
