Absolutely not. Consider the difference between being religious and being spiritual. Generally, religion refers to being part of an organized church or group of people sharing similar beliefs. Spirituality, to me, is nothing more than a (possibly personal, individual) search for answers to the eternal questions that can really not be answered. One can be religious and spiritual at the same time, and some hypocrites can be "religious" but not spiritual.
As far as what an athiest (literally: a-theist, without God) is, it's someone who doesn't believe in a Higher Power, Supreme Being, Creator, Divine Providence, or whatever you want to call it. By that definition, anyone who is either religious or spiritual is not an athiest.
But hey, this is all labels and semantics, which can easily be more confusing than helpful. Far more important are your actions and your search for truth. "Effing the ineffable" as I like to put it.

If you believe in God then you are definitely not an Atheist.. An
Atheist believes that there is no God. Unfortunately for the Atheist this is an indefensible position since you can never prove an absolute negative.

If you believe in the Christian God specifically, then you are a non-practicing Christian.
Atheists do not believe in a god or gods.
Here's some definitions about all the different things you can be on the spectrum of belief...
If you scroll all the way down to the bottom, you'll see a box with the heading "beliefs about the nature of the divine" and it has links to all kinds of different positions on belief.

If you believe in one God, then u r NOT an atheist.
but, His word also days "Do NOT to forsake, (give up ) the gathering of yourselves together!"
We must have fellowship with each other. God likes a good party too. He invented fun and the need to socialize! Also, we get strength from each other when we meet.
You do not have to agree with everyone in order to get together with them. But, when you share a belief with others who also have your same like mind, you can learn and get stronger from their experiences. That's what a true Church is for. Can you imagine going to a heaven that has no one there when you die?

To clarify, you are not Agnostic. An agnostic doesn't know whether there is a God or not. They take no stance because they believe it impossible to know for sure. You are not atheist either. You believe there is a God, you just don't like organized religion.

No, you are a believer, but their is guidance. Atheist are disbelievers in God.
024:046] We have indeed sent down (in this Qur'ân) manifest Ayât [proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, lawful and unlawful things, and the set boundaries of Islâmic religion, that make things clear (showing the Right Path of Allâh)]. And Allâh guides whom He wills to a Straight Path (i.e. to Allâh's religion of Islâmic Monotheism).

You wouldn't be an Atheist because you do believe in God (as others have already said). I do believe, reading what you believe, that that makes you Agnostic though. Check it out. I think that's what you are.

Religion is of no importance! You could live a life without it! But if you have a relationship with God, then you're still a believer! Atheists don't believe in God!

No. Atheists like myself don't believe in any gods or spirits. Everyone has the right to follow whichever belief they wish, and if you are happy just believing in a god, but not joining any particular church, then thats fine.

A short story:
a young christian of 13 , asked his mother >>> what were people worshiping at the time of Adam, Noah, Abraham,......until Moses?
she answered >>> God !!!.
he asked >>> why we worship jesus then?
she answered >>>because it is written in the bible.
he asked >>> what will be the faith of the people before the coming of jesus ?
she answered >>> I don't know.
So, After thinking about this even more, knowing that there is
a religion ( Islam) that worships only one God , like the people
before. Again ,he too believed this. And became a muslim at
age 17 himself. Why? Because he could not accept or find reasons to believe in the trinity concept. None of the people before nor after any of the phophets believed in this. This belief is only in the bible( new testament) not in the old testament or
the Quran. Can we trust or believe blindly in the bible and ignore
what most people on the earth have all believed.
If you mean that muslims kill in the name God that's wrong, read about Islam first.
Muslims all the time deffended themselves. and in the comands of God he tell the believers to spread his message peacefuly, but if there is arrogant one who want to fight muslims would fight them.
never Muslims oppressed People and took their money, land only if the fought back. but know that even if they were liitle in number, they all the time won, because God helped them.
If you think that this is not from God, look in the Bible also, you will find the same teachings. if God say so nobody can object.
but know that many propagandas about Islam and Jihad, they mislead people. try to look for this video tape << the empire of faith>> a PBS production, you will see how the world changed from darkness, dark ages to light and discovries and science and progress, human rights......I was realy surprised.
