I tried removing anything WERid in my registry, and I've switched back to a restore point. This seemed to have happened after I uninstalled and reinstalled itunes to the lastest version. I saw something called "ntuser" dat file and thought that look werid so I took that out was that it? I updated with Microsoft still not cured... shut down restarted afterwards and as soon as I open explorer it's back to about:blank and in internet options it's been changed to explorer.

I did the ad-aware thing and used another spyware progrom I removed everything it flagged.

I hope you can save me!

HERE IS YOUR BEST ANSWER:

This will do the trick with little effort on your behalf. Go to the link below and scan your computer. It will find things that McAfee, Norton , ect.... do not find. And you will be able to delete that pesky bug from your system.

Problem solved! :-)~

Scan your PC with these, both are free.

Spybot - Search & Destroy detects and removes spyware, a relatively new kind of threat not yet covered by common anti-virus applications. Spyware silently tracks your surfing behaviour to create a marketing profile for you that is transmitted without your knowledge to the compilers and sold to advertising companies. If you see new toolbars in your Internet Explorer that you haven't intentionally installed, if your browser crashes inexplicably, or if your home page has been "hijacked" (or changed without your knowledge), your computer is most probably infected with spyware. Even if you don't see the symptoms, your computer may be infected, because more and more spyware is emerging. Spybot-S&D is free, so there's no harm giving it a try to see if something has invaded your computer.

I use Browser Hijack Retaliator 4.5, it stops the hijacking and the auto adding of pages to your favorites among other wonderful tools.

it is freeware and i put the link to it below

browser 'helpers' are attached to the browser and are thing that are actually useful like tool bars, search engines, tools and the like. Unfortunately, there is room for abuse. Many of the Spy ware and like don't detect these 'helpers' so they might not help you rid yourself of them..

in this Retaliator program you can reset your browse back, you can monitor and remove items at will, you can use it to clean your cookies and temp files.

Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs Find something that should not be there and eliminate it. CCleaner is a well Cache Cleaner, and AVG is a well antivirus. Both present loose offerings.

Go to control panel, performance and maintenance, click system restore, go back to a previous day. It will bring everything back to where it was.
