In My mind I do not believe you should have another child just yet. I think it is really great you have found a good man to love and share life with and that you and he are very happy. I agree that you are much improved mentally now. first I think you should stop taking the sleeping meds and see how you manage without it. If you can rest well then and you are still happy and full of energy as you are now , say in a year then perhaps you can consider having another child. However If you are having trouble sleeping after stopping the meds, you might reconsider having another baby to feed and care for. You already have three that need you to love them care for them and teach them the values you wish for them to have. I am sure if you are happy as you say, your children are sharing those feelings with you, and after the year you spend without the meds, will be happy to welcome a new baby brother. Best Wishes to you!

Why do you want to have a baby? You do not have to have a child to show someone that you love them. Ask your self, are you mentally ready? How are you handling stress, lack of sleep, work, house? What about increased hormones, moody? What about depression after the baby is born? What type of mental illness do you have? Can it be passed to your children? Why are you dependent on the Seroquel to sleep? Can you get off it? If so, for how long? It is a very big decision to make. If you can answer theses questions with confidence/knowledge then I think you are ready. But consult your doctor first. Some medications take up to 6 months to get out of your system.

hi bratt... no offense, but what kind of mental illness are you talking about? is it a mental illness that enables you to properly care for your children? maybe you can talk with your doctor about the medications you have been taking, or are taking... to see if it's "wise" to try to have another baby. either way it goes i wish you all the best and hope everything works out for you, your husband and especially the children.

YES THERE ARE CURES. THE ONLY PROBLEM IS THAT THEY ONLY CURE FOR THE SPAN OF THE DRUG IN HOURS. I HAVE WATCHED MY WIFE SINCE ninety six SPIRAL DOWNWARD. THEY CAN KEEP HER ALIVE AND THAT IS ABOUT IT. AS FOR A COMPANION, I STILL HAVE HER HERE. AS FOR A FUN DAY WALKING, CYCLING, MOTOR HOMING, DANCING, DINNERS, NO SHE IS NOT CAPABLE OF THOSE TASKS ANYMORE. BUT; SHE IS STILL HERE AMONGST THE LIVING FOR A WHILE LONGER, SMILING AND LAUGHING AND TELLING HER STORIES AS SHE CAN ONLY TELL THEM.
