I feel really sorry when I hear about a guy making an honorable attempt to invest in a relationship only to be used and duped by a girl of dishonorable intentions. She makes it worse by insulting your intelligence by saying "she doesn't deserve you." That makes SENSE? No, she is just laying that on you so she can make her exit without feeling guilty. Why be friends and waste your money on her, when there is a world of girls who you would be more suitable to be with. You are only wasting your time. Start investing in someone who you can relate to on a more honest level. Don't settle for less. You have been there tried that, remember! Go forth and succeed! It will take a load off your life.

Don't do it!! You maybe the right guy, but this is the wrong time. Be a good friend, and encourage her, but let her get all her baggage under control before you try to take it to the next level.
If you want to have a chance at a real relationship, show her you are in for the long haul.
Honestly, from what I read, it isn't that she "likes this guy more than you" I mean "she was pissed about it for a long time and want to get back together with him". While she confides in you about it... Tells you she doesn't deserve you. She has something going on in her head. I am not saying she is bad person, but she needs to work something out. Lot of women are attracted to the wrong guys for lots of reasons.
Hang in there.
Remember confidence is sexy.

she is putting it in a nice way to not date you, but to also have you remain as an emotional crutch. Dont get hung up or it will ruin your friendship later on. you deserve better so keep your options open.

let go of her...but not of the love you have....someday you'll give it to whom it really worths....you'll soon find that someone....just keep her company...if she likes you more of a friend, then be a friend....don't go on further...if she'll have a change of heart...then it's time for you to do the move....good luck!

Maybe you shouldn't for now, you can't make her feel something that isn't there...could it be that she wants what she can't have?? If you suddenly aren't available to her in that way, she may become interested...good luck!
