Scientific Accuracies in the Bible

1. The spherical shape of the earth (Isaiah 40:22).
2. The earth is suspended in nothing (Job. 26:7).
3. The stars are innumerable (Gen. 15:5).
4. The existence of valleys in the seas (2 Sam. 22:16).
5. The existence of springs and fountains in the sea (Gen. 7:11; 8:2; Prov. 8:28).
6. The existence of water paths (ocean currents) in the seas (Psalm 8:8).
7. The water cycle (Job. 26:8; 36:27-28; 37:16; 38:25-27; Ps. 135:7; Ecc. 1:6-7).
8. The fact that all living things reproduce after their own kind (Gen. 1:21; 6:19).
9. The nature of health, sanitation, and sickness (Gen. 17:9-14; Lev. 12-14).
10. The concept of entropy, that energy is running down (Psalm 102:26).

Exactly what scientific "facts" do you think contradicts Scripture? Please don't say evolution, which is not science nor scientific. Evolution is a belief system, a world view, a philosophy. It is not science, cannot be proven using scientific methods and the evidence supporting it is weak at best.

Scientific facts, or universal facts are best known by the creator of the universe Himself.

Read the Qur'an with understanding. The Qur'an is the true word of Creator of the Universe. There are no errors or inconsistencies in the Qur'an. If someone tells you there are then he has not read the Qur'an with Understanding.

The Qur'an is created by Allah, the Almighty, worthy of worship, the Exalted One. His Literature is of very high standard. Therefore, it must be read with understanding. Then you will find that what seemed like an anomaly at first is perfectly and beautifully correct.

People go about saying that there are so-and-so number of mistakes in the Qur'an, when you consider there 'mistakes' it turns out that it was due to their narrow minded approach, short focus, and low level of understanding of the Highest Order of Arabic Literature that they could not underatand.

As for the Bible:- The Bible revealed to Prophet Jesus (Peace and Blessings of Allah Be Upon Him), is not intact. The verses were lost, replaced and corrected from time to time. Hence, the Word of God is Not presented in Today's Bible as it was revealed. The Holy Qur'an says that read the Bible, Check it with the Qur'an and then believe if you find it true in the Qur'an. The Qur'an being the final revelation is meant for entire humanity of all the times. Whereas revelations before this were meant specifically for the communities of those times alone. The Qur'an is the Final Word.

Books like Bible and Koran have been guiding the mankind for past centuries. They r time tested researches under the spiritual realm.

on the other hand

SCIENCE on the other hand is quiet new and in nascent stage. it is constantly evolving. what is recommended now is discarded few years later. Religious books r the same without any change for centuries... giving the same results.

So people r yet not so sure of Science as to have blind faith on it.

What Science discarded of Spiritual books ... It has now started to believe in it. The most important ones r
Existence of some SuperPower (GOD).
Power of Prayers.
Service to Society.
Helping others benefits U first
.... the list is long ... but well doctrined in the religious books

I am a Christian. I believe in all scientific facts. I believe that God gives us Science to help us. Science isn't going to explain everything though. So, what scientific facts are you talking about? Evolution is not a proven scientific fact, and you can't show me any proof that it is. There is a reason that it is called a theory.

you don't have to believe one and reject the other, they're not mutually exclusive.

believe it or not, the water cycle was already explained in the book of ezekiel before scientists discovered it.

the fact that the world is round was already in the bible before magellan circumnavigated the globe.

you don't have to close your eyes on the bible. it contains stuff that go beyond the religious.

the fact about the existence of planets was already in psalms before galileo invented the telescope.

one more thing: the specific names of Orion and Pleiades (spelling?) were already mentioned in the bible before eastern magis became interested in astrology.

before combustion engine was invented, prophet daniel already predicted the time when men would travel across the planet with a speed faster than the eagle's. he also predicted the unbelievable speed of communication. in medieval europe, people thought that if a person could travel faster than a horse, the human brain couldn't stand the pressure and the person would go crazy. that theory was dispeled overnight when the first train was tested- nobody went nuts.

i prefer to think of it this way: there are some things that science hasn't discovered yet but are written in the bible.

at the same time, there are facts in the bible that our modern anthropology hasn't unearthed yet.

you don't have to close your eyes on the bible. it contains stuff that go beyond the religious.

Dear, science is not old as Koran or Bible. If you think it is something else than you have to understand that science is only a part of Koran and Bible.Science is having very limited scope in comparison with the holy books. you will find answers of unresolved questions of science in them. And whether you believe or not, God is father of all sciences. Science may know how many seeds an apple is having but only god knows how many apples a seed is having. So believe in God and believe in his books.

Scientific "facts" have been known to change and change and change over time. The BIble does not. The Bible has specifically fulfilled prophecies, scads of them. Science has probabilites, statistics and theories. Science and technology have provided many benefits to all of us. But science errs greatly when it insists on trying to become a religion (that is, assume the functions of a religion, for example tell us the meaning of life or what we should value, and so on).

There you go. They either say that science has proved their book (when there are many more inconsistancies than not - see that list someone kindly provided for an example - how many can you see right now are wrong?) - or they misunderstand science, say it can't be proved, must be wrong since it contridicts their book.

Hint on above: There are 200 billion stars in our galaxy - hardly innumerable. The Earth is a sphere, not a circle (a circle is 2D, flat), they knew nothing about entropy, and the water cycle? You're really streching there. How about that worldwide flood that never happened ... or the sun stopping in the sky ... or cows giving birth to striped calves after seeing a stick ... just for a few examples that VERY WRONG.

The first two are based on Faith. Science is looking into the how was it done and can it be replacated over and over. But the science of arceiology is proving more and more of the Bible stories are real. At least as far as the places and people.
