Squeeze his nuts. They'll vibrate a little if he's lying.

I was married to a sociopath, who actually can pass a lie detector test even when he's lying. He could look you straight in the eyes and lie. In looking back, I realize that the look in his eyes were different, I couldn't see inside of them. Aside from that, all I can suggest is giving it time and paying attention to what he tells you and whether it makes sense or not. A person who lies usually trips themselves up eventually, that's why you need to give it time. Look at his friends to determine whether they seem to be honest. Friends tell a lot about a person. Does your man surround himself with good people? Does he have intergity? Does he keep his word? Does he do what he says he will do?

Apparently, the pupil size changes (dilates) when someone lies. so, if you're willing to go nose-to-nose, you could look him in the eyes and stare hard.
