What are some cheap and easy ways to get rid of a canker sore?

Stop eating citrus fruits for a day or two. If you swish salt water in your mouth and then spit, it will help get rid of the canker sore.

Two that I use are:
Letting an antiacid melt on the sore.
Letting a Benedryl melt on the sore.
It depends on why I have them which works. Frankly neither works very well but those are some 'remedies' that I have used.
Drink a lot of water, avoid acids for a day, and put Anbesol or something similar on it if it annoys you is my personal favorite.

Ever since I was a kid my mom would at bedtime put baking soda on the canker, procuces alot of saliva so you just have to let it sit, now I do it several time during the night, usually gone the next day..good luck..

stop eating salt and vinegar chips! canker sores are a virus (herpes)...your body takes about 10-14 days to get rid of them, but you'll always be prone to get them any time you get a cut in your mouth or eat acidic foods...there's nothing you can do to get rid of them faster...but maybe you can get a numbing gel to ease the pain for when they really hurt

Put salt on it. It causes a chemical burn that leaves a film over it and helps it heal. Do it about 4 times every day.

Gargle with salt water. Do it every hour or so and it will go away. To help the pain you can buy products at the store that numb it.
