I met this really cute guy at Boomers on a feild trip when I was an assistant teacher at this daycare I worked at during the summer. We started talking and he gave me his #. Now we are friends but he hasn't asked me out yet. Its either because he's shy or he doesn't like me. So I'm planning on making the 1st move. But usually a guy asks the girl out. And if I do plan on asking him out how do i do it because I' really shy too?

Let's see, this might be a tricky one. It so maybe, that both of you might be the shy types. Or he might want to first get to know you better, and see where things go from there.
Personally, I do not make the first moves due to the fact that I am a complete wuss and is afraid of rejection. But it never hurts to step out of that shell, and muster up the courage to ask him out.
Hey, it isn't the end of the world if he wants to just have a platonic friendship. There are many fishes out in the sea!
Or hey, who knows he might just be dying for you to make the first move.
I say, be bold and take that chance if he is worth it.

Since when is it the guys job to ask the girl out? I always figure if the guy isn't going to ask, then ask yourself. If he's shy, then he's only waiting for you to make the first move. If he doesn't like you that way and you ask him out, well hey at least you tried.

"we should go out sometime..." and see what he says... if its encouraging.... then say... " do you want to go out to dinner next weekend?"

feeling out your ground without a specific shot down is a good thing to do. by saying something like, "we should go out sometime" you can feel him out without getting flatly rejected. then, you go in for the kill! you never know, he might just be waiting for such a sign & ask you out first!
