You need good Bible teaching. I suggest you go to Derek Prince's website and order a set of his tapes on Foundations of the Faith.(just run Derek Prince in the Yahoo search bar) Or you may try his series on the Book of Romans. You can listen to him online for free.
Briefly, justification comes through the rebirth, and pertains primarily to the spirit. Sanctification is a process, a life long process, and pertains primarily to the soul. The soul is who you are uniquely as distinguished from any other person. Peter says: "like newborn babes, long for the pure milk of the word, that you may grow in respect to salvation" (I Peter 2:2) Be patient with yourself ! An oak tree doesn't grow in a day !

I have this habit that every time others are praying the prayer of salvation that I pray it with them. I think that people feel more comfortable if they are not alone in their decision. Also I am totally sincere when I pray it even if it is the third time in the same day.
I estimate I have said it about 300 times.

You're not alone. It is a growing process. We all grow and learn in faith at our own pace. Just keep in the word and strengthen in faith. Pray to God for help and guidance with the things that are holding you back from a honest and loving relationship with Him.
Ask God for help when you are confused about something in the bible. Ask other Christians...that is what we are here for, to help each other learn and grow.

What exactly do you mean by the "sinners prayer"? I am a believer, have been for many years, and I am not sure what you mean. If you mean a prayer to bring salvation, then I would say it doesn't work that way. Salvation is a gift of God, not based on our works. Those who are saved, are called the elect, the called of God. If your name is written in the book of life, you will be saved. God chooses whom will be in His church. Words in a prayer will not bring salvation, only the sovereign grace of God saves people. If you have said a prayer seeking salvation, my guess is you are saved, not by the prayer, but by the fact that the natural man does not seek God nor acknowledge their sinful condition. It is only through the Holy Spirit indwelling us do we reach that point. And, of course, the Holy Spirit only indwells His people, His sheep, the elect. Read Ephesians and Romans, get a good grip on what salvation is, how it occurs and what we do afterwards. If you are continuing to fall to temptation, maybe you need to check your heart. Do you truly have a heart for God and serving Him? Do you have a deep seeded rebelliousness that manifests itself by sinful actions? If you truly seek to serve God, love God, follow His word, and see yourself as God sees you, in Christ, then the want to sin will fade. Your desire will be to serve God, not your flesh, your desires will be towards doing His will, not your own.

Prayers are personal whether a sinners prayer or any other their not meant to be displayed, and you should not have to say it but once and start working towards changing your life accordingly.

ONE TIME-JESUS DIED ONCE AND ONCE FOR ALL.
But you do need to seek a holy walk with Jesus.Seek to live a life pleasing to him.
Pray when you read the Bible ,that the Holy Ghost will teach you.
Jesus knows we are human and we can never be perfect. But go daily and ask Jesus to forgive you and cleanse you .
God Bless you as you walk with Jesus

About a hundred times sound right. Until we become a little more mature in our faith, it seems we do it quite a bit.
