I am not heavy but I am a little bottom heavy. I have a big butt and hips but my waist is small. I guess I could be described as pear shaped. Is there anything I could do to lose some of the fat, specifically that could slim me down a little? I have never had kids and I am only 21. Thank you.

Be thankful you have that body shape. Yes, it may be a bit harder to find clothes that fit, but you are less likely to have a heart attack, high cholesterol, and a c-section.

Learn to love the shape you have, and how to dress it best.

Empire waist dresses, low-rider jeans, a-line skirts, and jackets that nip in at the waist to show off your hour-glass figure.

Men will melt!

lower body work outs. eat less and work out more. I played soccer for 9 years and Being as I come from two cultures with women who are shapely, I've always had a huge *** and big thighs. While i played soccer, we did a lot of lower body circuits like running, leg lifts, Squats, butt lifts, and stuff. The machines are usually always set up in a Row or near each other. It'll tone you up and build muscle which in combination with a healthier diet will slim you down.

Unfortunatley we cannot pick and choose where our bodies store and lose fat. You can diet down to a healthy BMI, eat low carb, low GI diets and eat healthily overall. You can also exercize to tone and strenthen those areas but short of lipo or surgery that is all you can do.
There are many sites out there with workouts specific to this area. Do a search for Glute workouts and Hip/Thigh workouts.

You should be proud of what you've got, but a little exercise never hurt anybody. Maybe some running and go easy on the fast food.

If you like team sports, try a womens basketball team or class at the Y. If not, go walking. If you are having bad weather, get on a stairmaster or do kickboxing.

i would WALK every day. 30 min in the AM and 30 min in the PM
