If they plead guilty to a felony, had sentencing, how can you find out what the sentence was if you werent in the court room? Can you find out? Who do you call or write to? (The DAs dont return phone calls)

If you know the court where the sentencing took place, you can find out from the court dockets. Call there, or write. Most courts have docket info available online. Also, about a month after the sentencing, most states have the length of incarceration info available online. Go to the Department of Corrections website of the state where the inmate is serving time, and do the inmate search. If he is in federal, go to www.bop.gov

Penalties are enumerated in the Penal Law corresponding to the crimes committed. Thus, when some plead guilty to an offense, you just have to know the crime charged and you will know the penalty.

It depends on what state they live in.. alot of states have there court records online, you have to just look for them...

like you can go to yahoo and type in (washington) court records..
or what county they live in might be more helpfull.

In the past, when i have looked at ppl's court records, that i all that i had to do, then type in the inmates name...
