I speak 4 already (English, Esperanto, Spanish, German) I've begun studying Mandarin, but stopped to spend time learning a new computer language for work. I hope to get back to Mandarin some day.
If you are looking for a second language, I suggest Esperanto. It worked great for me. Many people have asked me "Why would you learn a language that nobody speaks?". But let me tell you that a lot of people speak Esperanto. I've used Esperanto to speak, via skype and email, to people from China, Taiwan, Japan, Iran, Pakistan, The Philippines , France, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, The Netherlands, several African nations, Tibet, and the list just keeps growing.
And once you've learned a 2nd language, the 3rd and successive languages are much easier, because you've learned how to learn languages.

My second language is English, so the third language should be Italian. Because Italy is really a charming country.

well, working on Chinese, but that's my third language, not my second (Spanish). um... I think I'd like to learn Farsi next.
I think Spanish is probably the most useful, just because so many people speak it, it's the second most common language in the world. Mandrine Chinese is important for future business, tho.
