Out of Ford information Pages.. the premiere of all Mustang II's are the 1978 King Cobras. King Cobras, like the Cobra II's have been in straightforward terms a paint and pictures kit yet their elegance made up for the 302's lackluster overall performance.(Pictured: 1978 King Cobra). So might desire to have been a 302

Sorry to tell you , but the 78 mustang 302 doesn't have performance parts. I love mustangs but that was a sad time for the stangs. You can get a newer 5.0 roller motor pretty cheap. All your bolts ons will work ( water pump , pulleys , alt , starter , tranny ,ps pump, etc)

For my two cents / I would first call your local Ford Store / ask for the National Ford imformation number and/or on Net
ie I had a 72 Mustang Mach I for 8 mos for a quick/restro
First thing I did is call Ford National or what ever it was
gave them VIN and they sent me a Facacile of the Sales /imformation listing for that car
first thing you do make a car CORRECT
No charge
I bet with the right question could lead to the perfect reponse
If you don't get good results please please advise via clicking on my 360
good luck

like 1.72 , they are going to be sucky THERMACTOR heads, why would you care as they are JUNK heads and tiny valves, heck the exhaust are only 1.45. if you are on a no frills buget get some 351 windsor heads ,if funds allow you can work them a bit ,if you are FLUSH with cash get AFR (air flow resarch) best you can get! go to FORDMUSCLE.COM for lots of good free ford advice
