Sounds like a Wakenhut prison. Oklahoma has a lot of prisoners mainly because there is a lot of money to be made in private run prisons. There is more money to be made buying stocks in prisons than in motels. Prisons have 300 % occupancy and Motels 70%. Your last Gov., wife owns 51% interest in Wakenhut, the Gov. had to sign for those being paroled by the parole board but he wouldn't sign their release papers for a year with some of them. Our criminal justice system stinks. And yes you should get with an attorney. Be careful, that they don't put you off with their investigation to long though. Here in Kansas a mother was told that the death of her son would take up to two years before she would have the facts. After two years the time for her to take any form of action would be to late according to Kansas law.I am so sorry to hear about this and will say a special prayer for you.Remember God had a Son who was murdered to, so He understands how you feel.

You won't find the answer here, call a criminal lawyer in your state and investigate filing a wrongful death case against the agency that failed to provide proper care and supervision of the killer and also failed to provide adequate protection for your 15 year old. That person should be facing a first degree murder charge...are they not doing that?
You may have to visit several attorneys since many of them shy away from confronting governemt agencies.
I am sorry for your loss. Good luck. Phillip

Sorry no. the state didn't stab her. If your daughter wasn't remanded to the state then you were responsible for her safety not the state. If the state had your daughter and the 18 year old remanded for a criminal violation then your daughter placed herself in the harmful environment by breaking the law in which the person responsbile for her death is the 18 year old primarily and your daughter indirectly.

Sorry for your loss.
What would having them 'pay' do? Why was your daughter there?
They most certainly will charge the 18 year old with murder. That's about the best you can get out this tragic situation.

Legally probablly not. Morally yes they are responsible. Just because they didn't "pull the trigger" doesn't mean they aren't responsible for not doing their job.
If they would have done their job she would be alive now wouldn't she?
Stupid government....

you can sue a department, and if happens to be a state agency then the state would have to pay.,, if you win the case. its difficult but i do know people that have done it for similiar reasons and won.
