With children starving all over the world and even in developed nations, why are you so excited to bring another potential welfare case into the world?
But, if you really want to solve the problem, just get all that Catholic money together to do something useful for a change besides encouraging unprotected sex. Hand out cash rewards for gals who don't abort their babies.
If what you really want to do is stop abortions, put your money where your mouth is and make it worth while to carry these pregnancies to term and give the children up for adoption. This way you can solve problems instead of just making them up!

Most people who are against it are against it for emotional reasons. They are thinking of a cute sweet baby rather than what it actually is...an embryo/zygote/fetus. A baby doesn't BECOME a baby until it is out of the womb entirely. Until then it is a fetus. Yes it is a "life" but so is the calves people love as veal on the dinner plate. So are the lambs that are slaughtered for lamb chops, oh and those BABY BACK RIBS...the don't just fall out of the sky. And the vegeterians don't get off either, plants are living things and when you pick them you are actually killing them.
Giving children up for adoption is a nice thought but not always great. But there are regulations concerning adoptions and restrictions. Not just anyone off the street can adopt a child just because they want one. Not everyone SHOULD be able to adopt a child. And WHY should everyone else foot the bill for someone else to have a baby? No one buy my ex husband and myself paid for me to have my daughter and she was born with complications...it wasn't cheap. No one but my parents paid for them to have the kids they had. No one by my sister and her husband paid for them to have their kids. In the long run abortion is more cost effective. But if YOU want to foot the bill for all of the "unwanted" or "unplanned" pregnancies so they don't wind up as abortions feel free...hope you have the money of Trump and Gates combined and THEN some...You're going to need it.

I dont think that abortion should ever be used as a method of birth control but I don't support you at all. And yes I understand that by having an abortion I would kill a human life but for instance I grew up in a country isn't economically stable which has millions of babies living in orphanages waiting for adaption do you think those babies are happy? Half the kids that are adopted aren't happy. In my culture they always say that the kids always pay for the mistakes of the parents. I would never want to watch my baby live and suffer for my mistake . Sometimes death is the best option you have. Everybody has their own life and has the right to make chooses for themselves as well as their unborn child

Everyone makes their own decision as to when they believe life begins, and then often violates it. The pro-life crowd says it would be better if one were responsible and used birth control, but that violates their own teaching that birth control is immoral. If you look at the number of children they have, it's obvious they're using something. Don't claim NFP is the reason, because this was happening long before NFP came along. Rhythm isn't a very good substitute. What do you call a couple that uses the rhythm method? Parents. Priests preach that it's a blessing to have children and a sin to use contraceptives, but then reject their own sexuality.

I really think part of the problem is a schizophrenic insistance that birth control is sinful, all the while trying to avoid pregnancy by using a method that is conveniently defined as not-birth-control, even though it allows sex that doesn't lead to pregnancy.

I am doing a college essay on Abortion and should women have them or not I believe it is up to the woman to choose what happens to her body or what she wants to do with body, if she can live with it that the abortion was killing the child she could of had than that is her choice. Another person pointed out to me that if so many abortions are happening in the world then why not use those aborted fetus' for something good like stem cell research or something.

hmmmm .. wish i could have all that money to do that as soon as possible if that could prevent all the abortions in the world:(
dear abortion is terrible, imagine if your mother had decided then to abort u, then u would not be in Yahoo asking this questions...... imagine if it was not terrible, then not so many people would turn activists at the mere mention of taking an innocent life, a life that is not ours to take:( and then there would not be websites, come to thinkof it there are millions of websites i think why not check them out, to be able to see what really goes on in one

Ok... but did you know that there are millions of couples on waiting lists to adopt in the US all of them have to prove sufficent income to even get on the list! SO why abort? No one said they have to keep the baby! My brother in law & his wife have been working w/ multiple agencies for over 4 years ... still no luck! They are willing to pay the mom the max allowable for carring a baby in Michigan which is $10,000 plus all medical bills, but so are countless other couples!

well I am PRO CHOICE myself! I feel that if you have a circumstance that needs an abortion, than it is up to the individual. I do not believe it should be used as a source of birth
control though,as sooooo many young ladies are doing now days. I feel that if you are old enough to have sex, then you should be old enough to take on the responsibilities that come along with it.

Can't we all just stop this abortion talk? It's not getting us anywhere. I'll admit I've done it before but it's just silly. People who are pro-choice will remain pro-choice. People who are pro-life will remain pro-life. There is no internet conversation that would ever change that. End of Story.

I'll also add I'm pro-choice. I agree with you but it's not changing anything. Abortion is legal. It's going to stay legal--when it's in question that's when it's time to rally and fight all of this. There is no point now!
