Fat is harder to digest like in milk or cheese and even candy, when I cut all dairy out of my diet my acid reflux of 15 years went away, I no longer eat a truck load of antacids per day it's great. I also eat a lot of veg's and 6 oz of lean meat a day, and buy nothing in a can, I only eat frozen foods or fresh. This has changed my life. Hope this helps, good luck.

I would stay away from high protien diets because stomach acid and pepsin are secreted in order to initially break down protiens. These substances may be the cause or certainly will aggravate an ulcer. I also would not recommend a high fat diet to anyone either as this could lead to heart disease. A good balanced diet would be best, along with the proper medication to deal with the ulcer.

No it's the sugar in the afternoon. Note: I make juice with juice extractor for breakfast. I never eat anything with fat or animal protein that early.

protein, it's a good buffer. fats are also harder to digest, so you may end up with more acid irritating the problem!
