hehe...yea, i was that way in high school...but when i entered college (last year), things changed. i learned that less really IS more. my make-up no longer covers up my face, but brings out it's beauty, and my hair is natural (no hair spray or gel, just a little shine and maybe a few curls of the curling iron) and so much healthier looking. my hair takes anywhere from 5-35 minutes in the morning, and my make-up less than ten. and even though i'm taking less time, i feel more beautiful. you should try it, even for only a day. i'm sure you'll be surprised at the compliments you'll recieve.

ok, I am a girl so I totally understand primping and all that. But, FOR REAL!?! 4 and a half hours to get yourself together? Nobody, NOBODY, is that ugly! Your hair- learn what your hair likes to do best, then work with that. Meaning, wash your hair, brush it to your favorite part, then leave it till it dries. If it's straight, don't try to be curly. If it's curly, don't try to be straight unless the weather is really dry and you want to subject your hair to the burning torture of a straighting iron. DAMAGE. Then, make-up. Don't be fake! Only you notice all the effort you put into it. No need to wear as much make-up as a drag queen. The basics let you be you just a little more fresh. The less you wear, less likely to scare someone in the morning. Clothes. Don't overthink it. make your style your own!!! Who cares what anyone else says. Creativity is beautiful!! Be yourself. Your true self. In the end, only your opinion matters to you.

No.. My hair is long (below my waist) It takes me 15-20 minutes to brush and style it... I wear minimal make up 15 minutes... I choose my outfit the night before 10-15 minutes for a grand total of 35-45 minutes to get redy and out the door.. I can cut this down to under 30 minutes if I need or want to...
I agree with your parents, 4.5 hours to get ready to walk out the door is entirely too long you need to streamline the process.. Considering most schools start at 8 -9 am you are up at 4:30-5:00 am just in order to be ready to go on time.. That's ridiculous...
There are 24 hours in a day and you are devoting 4.5 of those hours to your looks.. That is just over 20% of each day devoted to looks.. In a week you devote 31.5 hours, in a year 1642.5 hours, in a decade 16425 hours...
Most people average 16 hours per day awake you are spending 4.5 of those 16 hours on looks That's over 25% of your time....
The average person works 8 hours per day you are spending over 50% of a working day on looks...
But as you last line states "and u know what i dont care im going to take as long as i want!!!" No matter what anyone says you will think you are justified and right so do as you wish just know looks will only get you so far and spending 4.5 hours on them doesn't impress anyone especially boys.... Tell a few boys it takes you 4.5 hours to get ready to go anywhere.. They will not be impressed... All they will be thinking is how late you will make them because you spend so much time in front of the mirror...
But you really don't want to hear it so go back to your mirror and continue to preen... Maybe you will eventually get a clue be sure to write down the numbers so when you get a clue you can add up all your wasted time...

Teenybopper. An hour and a half for your hair and 2 hours for make up is too much. Slip your hair into a ponytail, slap on some blush, lip gloss, and mascara and GO. If you're spending this much time on looks, then you aren't spending any on sports or studies, and guys like atheltic and smart. So listen to your parents to get what you want! Plus sports will give you a good body.

seriously, it only takes me (and when i was in high school too) about 15 minutes to shower and 10 minutes to do my make-up, then another 15 minutes to do my hair. i don't see how the make up process can even take up to an hour, let alone two hours.
i personally think you are way too into looks and you are stressing yourself out every morning, and durring the day you probably wonder about it a lot too. just chill. try to shorten the time, you'll always get your make up to look the same in less than half the time. plus, this way you'll be able to get more sleep.

How much hair do you have and how much dam makeup are you putting on!!! For crying out loud I'm a professional person and I spend a total of 45 minutes getting ready for work, that includes getting my hubby's lunch packed and taking the dogs out to pee!! Trust me---10 years from now boys, music and $10 will get you a cup of coffee at Starbucks. Pretty much thinking your parents are sick of you hogging the bathroom mirror. One of them need to grow "something" and take over!!

umm no, on a quick day it takes me half an hour to get ready, long, slow morning it takes me an hour. I am not going to a beauty contest, as my parents say, and there is no point in putting that much time into my looks when I can be doing something more productive!

What a waste of time- sorry. You should use your time on something that will matter to your future. Your personal hygiene is almost equal to a part-time job!
I can shower, do my hair, makeup and get dressed in under an hour.

It's great to look good, but that seems like a lot of time to get ready. Balance it out. School work and beauty both matter. You can be a drop dead gorgeous nerd. No one can touch that.

you're wearing entirely too much make-up if it's taking you two hours to do it. that's just sick.
it's just school, get over yourself. no one is going to be checking you out when you're 40 and working at a fast food place. listen to your parents even though they sound dumb.
when it's time to pay the bills, your looks, guys and music won't even matter.
get your education when you have the opportunity or you're going to be ugly and poor.
