well mints and gum, will help u get the smell off ur breath, but let's say u were DWI, and the police approach u with a breath test, there's actually alcohol in the gum and mints so it will actualy make u score worse on the breath test..... maybe u can try drinkin a lot of water, juice, soda etc...

Shower, brush teeth, use mouth wash, put on clean clothes and eat a little something and then brush your teeth again. That way it is not just "off your breath" the smell should not be on your body, as in coming from the pores. If you are worried about the smell on your breath when you are driving I would suggest DO NOT drive and stop drinking alcohol. Good Luck to you!

I did a favor for the DA once and asked the same question, like when driving home after a few drinks and I was surprised at his answer:
Peanuts. Works much better than mints and brushing your teeth. Apparently! I keep a stale pack in the console.
Now this is MY question"
How do you get rid of the smell of peanuts if a cop stops you?

The best way to cover the smell of alcohol is to eat raw onion.
(Mints and gum don't really work... but you can then eat your mints and gum to cover the onion ;o)

Alcohol also comes through your skin, including your palms. Shower with lots of soap and wash your hands often. Also use body spray or cologne.

Mouthwash such as Listerine also helps.

If you know in advance you don't want alcohol on your breath, then avoid drinking alcohol :o)

are to trying to not have anyone smell the alcohol on your breath.? Toothpaste is a clear sign that you are trying to hide something. And most of the time does not work, it just makes you smell the liquer more.

As gross as it sounds soap is a really good thing. Dont brush your teeth with soap. I am saying wash out your mouth. Rinse really well so you dont get sick and wash your hands also. Most people will think they are smelling your hands and not your breath.

First of all---alcohol isn't ON your breath! ... rather, it's in your STOMACH....and so nothing ON your breath will rid your breath of the smell that leeches up from your stomach to your mouth everytime you let out a breath of air.

The ONLY way, is to EAT something with CARBS and SUGAR...like a milkshake..and hopefully it will make you vomit-----euuuuuuuuuuuuuuu----- but if you 'toss it up'...and then drink the milkshake,,,you stomach will smell better.

Strong, sweet chocolate....... I'm not talking Hershey's I mean like those nice truffle things, or a brownie, you won't even taste the alcohol after that. Then if you want, you can have a mint.
