And on a side note, I'd personally leave it as: "Computers are important in online advertisement. This is mainly because you can only view online advertisements on a computer." and go bark at that teacher for assigning such a ridiculous paper.
If you don't want to question your teacher but write it, you should probably beat around the bush if you're clueless. Shortly tell about the history of the internet... advertising... how effective online advertising is... the kinds of online advertising, etc. You know, complete filler junk. Oh! And maybe ask a friend in that class what they wrote about?
