Oh how well do I know this problem. He will calm down, eventually. Kittens are very excitable, especially in a new environment. The best method I've found is not to react to them at all when it is sleep time. I know this is tricky, especially when they are intend on attacking your feet (thick quilt is useful here) or biting your nose. If you must push kitty away but don't interact any more than you have to. Like any young animal, he's after attention, he needs to learn he won't get it at certain times no matter what he does.
It's always a tricky thing to train a cat. I had one who was very dim and never really got the hang of it. I used to have to pretend to be asleep and not move a muscle until she settled, even that was prone to failure because often I would start drift off and then she'd sneak up and meow loudly in my face.

Cats are pretty nocturnal (sleep more during the day and get more playful at night), so letting him spend the night on your bed might not let you get a very good sleep. My dad works the night shift, so he sleeps in the day, and our cat is fine to sleep with him then because it doesn't really want to move around. If your kitty is just a baby kitten right now, I'm sure he'll mellow out in when he's about 1ish. Best of luck!

Cats have personalities just like people. Some cats will just sleep quietly and not bother you will you sleep while other cats are more night time animals or they will wake up earlier than you want them to.
I have two cats one doesn't bother us while the other can wake up at any time to want to go outside the bedroom or what you to wake and feed them let them outside or whatever.
I also think it has something to do with the age of the cat. The older cats can be less active while the younger tend to be more active.

Cats are naturally nocturnal and yours being just a kitten makes it that much worse. The good thing about kittens is that they do get tired and need their rest just like children. I suggest playing with your kitten before going to bed so she will be tired. Make sure she has a full belly also and she will eventually learn that when the lights go out, so do you.

My cat was the same way. After a few months he began to mellow out and calm down. I've had him for two years now and he sleeps with me every night without any problem.

No. I think you can`t sleep with your kitty because it has a lot of energy and she can`t sleep when you sleep and is getting bored and is sad because when you sleep you ignore her and she wants to do everything to make you to love her and to play with her.

As they get older, cats settle down, but when they are little they can be a handful. I suggest playing with them and tiring them out just before you want to go to sleep. You may also want to feed them just before you go to sleep. They usually fall asleep when their tummies are full.

He's only a baby at the moment so he's going to be playful even at the most inopportune moments.
Give it another few months and he'll start to settle down

Mine did the same thing. She used to try to lick our armpits :-( YUK!! Lately i've just been pushing her off me everytime she tries to lay down. Eventually she just started laying down on my arm... it's like she has to be touching me to go to sleep. But she learned! My fiance said he watched her put a foot on me and then change her mind, then put her foot on me, then change her mind again. She did it like 5 times, then just layed down! HA good luck
