Ok, well I was on here the other day explaining my problems and how the ER said my CT scan for appendicitis was normal, but then called me back the next day and said there was some inflammation. The next day I went to my regular doctor and he suggested I go to a surgeon, so I am going this Monday to get a surgeons opinion about my appendix. The ER doctors thought I was nuts because I wasn't having Chronic pain at the moment I was in the ER. It was VERY painful but it wasnt like I was going to die. My doctor called it "Mild Case" of appendicitis.Ok well today my pain has kind of gone away, atleast the pain I was having before. Now it's like a permanant stomach ache on the right side. Sometimes the pain travels down almost to where I want to think its a female organ deal. I guess I don't know what to think. Can it still be my appendix if its not as painful as it was. Or what else could it be? The stomach ache is ONLY on my right side. I'm just wondering if appendicitis can go away or not

No, I have not been throwing up. I have never vomitted or had a fever. I just had pain in the right area and described it just right to my doctor. I'm just worried if its really not my appendix and it could be something in my ovaries or something similar to that.

I thank everyone for their opinon, but with the list that the last person gave me. The PAIN HAS NOT FULLY gone away. It's turned into a stomach ache, like a permanant one, so it couldn't be a kidney stone and passed because the pain is not gone. If I had a stone wouldnt that have shown up in my CT scan that they did, because I know they looked at my kidneys and my pancreas. Any other suggestions?

I have a feeling it was not appendicitis to begin with. You most likely would have had some nausea, and rebound pain, which means when the doctor pressed down on your lower right abdomen, near your groin, then let go very quickly, you would have felt sharp increased pain. It's possible you were ovulating, experiencing mittelschmerz, which is ovulation pain. Was it about 2 weeks after your last period?
You also could have had an ovarian cyst that burst and is now causing you some residual pain because there may be a bit of old blood in your abdomen.
It won't hurt you to see a surgeon. If it is appendicitis, he can decide if you need intervention. He can also order further tests to see if you have free air or fluid in your abdomen. A mild case of appendicitis can resolve itself, but a serious case must be taken care of before the appendix bursts. You would be much, much sicker than you are if that were the case.
I hope you'll check back and let us know what the surgeon says on Monday. Otherwise take a mild pain reliever and use a low heating pad or warm soaks on your abdomen if it helps you feel better. Good luck!

I wouldn't wait till Monday! You need to see a surgeon now. If it is appendicitis, and if that appendix bursts, that's terribly serious.
I don't understand why your doctor would mess around with waiting till Monday. He should know that you need to see someone now.
If there was some inflammation, then, yes, you need help now. Appendicitis doesn't go away, even if the pain has changed from what it was before.

Appendicitis does not usally go away without surgical intervention. The pain you are experiencing is typical for appendicitis and will localize on the right side and lower down into the groin. The inflammation like all inflammation can subside and therefore not cause as much discomfort in the area. The important factor is you are having the pain and this requires removal of the appendix.

Appendicitis pain is commonly described as appearing and then going away.By the looks of your symptoms it looks like it because of the nausea and of the shivering.Maybe you even had a fever. Appendicitis is very dangerous because some people don't pay attention to their problems and it can be life threatening. So pls go to the hospital as soon as possible to have that checked out, don't wait.Your life and health is more important than money. My friend had the same problems and he ignored them until one day his appendix burst and good thing he managed to get medical attention.

I assume you are a female in which case the differential diagnosis of right sided pain is quite long. Ovarian cyst , appendicitis , uterine fibroid , ectopic pregnancy , kidney stone, bowel obstruction.
If the pain was very severe and passed it is probably a kidney stone.
appendicitis usually just gets worse and is accompanied by nausea and vomitting

I have had right side pain for a long time and have seen every doctor it was so I even went as far as having an hysterectomy and the pain still was there. I finally went to a surgeon and he did a scope of my abdomen he said my appendix was scarred which was causing inflammation so he removed it and I now have no more pain.

Middle? Thats not an appendix. Your appendix is on the lower right area very low towards the groin. Sounds like a gastric episode or gastritis. If it keeps happening, go to the doc or if the pain gets worse.
