All right, there is this guy that sits next to me during Chemistry and I like him, however I do not know if he likes me back. I'm a sophmore and he is a junior. I do not want to outright ask him, since I AM a sophmore and I do not want to freak him out or anything since we sit next to each other so it would be really ackward and he is a really awesome guy, very funny and cool, and I wouldn't like to see our friendship spoiled because of that, however, I really do like him. The hard thing is that, he is cool with everyone, so I do not if I'm special or not, however, he has been talking to a lot me lately.I know that he doesn't have a girlfriend or anything since he has told us (we sit in a table). He is always trying to make me laugh, joking, teasing me, arguing.
Ex:We were getting our books, and I was passing them out since I got to them first and when I was going to give him one, he said "I'm a man, I can get it myself" smiling and a scant second before he started laughing.

Baby space is ur advantage ......use it.

Dont u see that U have a incredible advantavage over all the other girls as u sit.......U SIT next to him IN A TABLE. Be physical.

Feel free to feel up his biceps & admire it. (Guys like it).
Feel free to feel his thighs & say "good thighs" (he sure will love it). He has to know ur flirting with him for him to respond. Finally when u both are alone grab his butt & say "nice Buns". & run away. Its all in the Joke....u see ...all playfully .....u get to feel his buns ....& u get to see his reaction with it. He sure is going to grab for ur buns (upper buns -boobs or lower buns-bum I m not sure) but he will come for sure.

I think that he just wants to be good friends for right now. From what I read, he seems like the type of guy that isn't afraid to ask a girl out, so depending on how much he likes you, he'll ask you out if he likes you in that way. Sometimes guys act that way because they like getting attention from girls, so they act friendly to them- it makes them feel more secure with themselves if they can get girls to laugh at their jokes or other dumb stuff they do. Guys are afraid of committment and dedicating so much of their time to a girl- so beware! you will be sorry if you come on too strong, trust me i know!

Just keep acting the same way you do to him and see what happens

try a casual offer first before going straight into some sort of "want to go to the park and proclaim our love for each other!?"
maybe include him in some sort of group activity.

I think you know the answer. Seems pretty obvious he likes you, so if you like him I guess you would encourage him when he gives you attention so he knows you like him.

he only sees you as any other friend.

OR in his heart, he may like you but if he didn't say, we'll just forget that assumption
