(c) Her husband to rule over her. Genesis 3:16. The head of the woman is the man. 1 Corinthians 11:3. Man can sell his daughter. Exodus 21:7.

They used to separate the men and women ,they still do in Orthodox Synagogs and Mosques.The Pastor would be teaching and the woman would lean over during the service."What did he say Sidney? I didn't hear"

In those days,you couldn't even show an ankle,let alone grab a guys "AppleBag".
Get off the Old Testament ...we are free in Christ!Back in those days up until the 1700s...you could sell just about anyone or indenture them.Get over the old culture,it doesn't apply now nor would Jesus condone it.

A carry over from the O.T. laws. Into the N.T. and is only practiced by the fundamendalist Churches that still follow Most of the O.T. jewish laws and rules.

deuteronomy says to chop off her hand if she tries to crush his testicles, actually. its an interesting passage. i've read rabbinic commentaries saying that it means that if its possible to avoid killing somebody in order to prevent them from committing a crime deserving the death penalty, then you should do everything possible to avoid killing them. most likely its just related to the biblical love of procreation. they really hated the idea of castration back then. big no-no.
