What do you mean a mini pap? They don't touch you at all, you are only completely naked for one part of the exam, they do a breast exam(which does involve touching) and they just visually examine your....you know. But it's nothing more than a glance, then you go put your clothes back on and it's over. You have blood work and urine analysis(and someone watches you pee into a cup). You do the duck walk and all these little exercises so they know that you don't have like nerve damage or something like that. It's pretty much just a bunch of hurry up and wait, nothing to be nervous about. Then after that part of your physical is over - oh, I forgot there's vision, hearing and depth perception tests, nothing big, but then you go to your liason's office and talk jobs and you do a lift test and you pick your list of jobs, then you go through some security stuff, they take your fingerprints, then you go swear in and sign your contract and you're done, it's nothing to get all worked up about.

What exactly were the charges? I was a bit of a 'rowdy' teenager and told my recruiter everything; all I had to have to join up was a 'morals waiver' and that's it. My advise is be honest because the job you get after basic training could require a Top Secret security clearance in which case you'll be found out and in deep sh*t; trust me getting kicked out would suck a whole lot more than having to wait a few extra month for a waiver...nearly everything is waiverable in the military...

MEPS stands for Military Entrance Processing Station, this is where you are given ur physical, ur ASVAB test, which tests your abilities and weakness's so they know how to catagorize you for a school once you're done with boot camp. Not to worry they have females there also for all of the female stuff to be done and check'd. I was in for 10 yrs good luck Shipmate!!

Others have accuratly answered your question.
Here is some very helpfull advice.
After your physical and ASVAB you'll get the opportunity to speak with someone about your job (Rate)
DO NOT under ANY circumstance let them make you "undesignated"! Unless you do well on the ASVAB and fit needs they may try to sell the idea to you. "Let's you see which rate you might like" BULL, I never met one person who didn't hate it... Pick a rate, if you can get something that applies to civilian world for when you get out.

you get a phsyical, do the duck walk, they give you a mini pap, look you over, weigh you, etc. A lot of paper work, and a lot of waiting around. Drug test. Some briefings. You swear in too. There's nothing scary about it, just boring.

general military motto: hurry up and wait (this is where it all starts)
