I think you have a point about people been conditioned to believe something that is not at all scriptural. There are just too many verses that show God as being the one in charge of His universe, and deciding who will be saved, and that's just not comfortable for most people, so they just ignore those verses and give themselves the power of choice. And they condition the world around them accordingly.

In most cases, we have been told that conditioning molds freewill. Freud made a science out of it. All of mankinds sins appear to be the results of conditioning. I believe that only true faith in Jesus can bring about freewill.

There is no free will in a "Jesus Camp". In fact, that is the last thing they want to encourage! Conditioning can be a very powerful and lasting influence in a person's life. But, it can be overcome by keeping an open mind and a willingness to challenge your beliefs.

It seeks to deny freewill, to destroy it. Sadly, more often than not it creates havoc in the believer's life. Freewill is a gift of the sovereign God and can never be destroyed by humankind.

Yes, because I can't stop doing that Lather-Rinse-Repeat cycle. And I'm pretty sure I'm not doing it voluntarily.
And quite sure they shampooed that poor killer whale in San Diego--you know: FreeWill !

No matter how conditioned one has become, they can always change. They may feel it is harder to use that free agency, but it is always there.
