Do you mean on your legs? My cat sleeps on my legs sometimes and nothing bad has ever happened.

In the event that you have peripheral neuropathy or are diabetic I would suggest you not allow your cat to sleep on your legs. If you have no circulatory problems or medical problems that can lead to a problem with circulation i.e. diabetes chances are allowing the cat to sleep on your legs wouldn't be dangerous. Unless of course you own an ocelot or lion or some other large exotic feline. Happy napping.

No, I am an experienced cat owner and have never heard of anyone, including myself, who has come to any harm by cats sleeping on their legs. In any case, if you don't want the cat there, just remove it. When cats are on in deep sleep they just go on sleepiung, even if you move them. But really, don't worry. The worst is that you came have a bad case of pins and needles if the cat weighs a lot and you stand up...

Can you clerify this a little?

on its legs, or yours?
If its yours, the cat is trying to show affection and/or get warm.

If it is sleeping on its own legs, I guess thats okay. Ive never seen one sleep on their legs, but it wouldn't do it if it was hurting it.
