There are underlying reasons why some are clingy. A lot has to do with insecurities as young girls growing up and reinforced by men who mistreated them. Which is so unfair to women, being they want to be accepted they try harder to please their mate and allow themselves to be abused or mistreated since they been around that for so long. It makes me sad that this happens so much more often then we think. If a person would just help the one who's clingy to have confidence and trust then that would subside in time. But also you have to be able to stand up for yourself too. Don't let yourself to be put in a relationship where feel you have to be clingy. If you have implict trust and a person upbuilds you, you grow in confidence and become impowered where you don't feel like you need acceptance to feel worthy about yourself. But sometimes the scars are so deep, this becomes a life-long struggle. Only a true, honest, loving man will be able to have the patience and love needed to help the clingy or insecurce person over come these feelings. If this happens to be true in your case, then you're not to blame for the way you feel. But be assured that you do have to do your part in breaking that cycle. Be sure you have a strong core of true friends that will help you in this regard and will always be there for you. If and when you find a good man, don't push him away when he does help you. That's the type of person you need. Don't settle for less. Take care.

Im not a guy so I dont know for a fact but clingy girls are super annoying if u ask me all clingy ppl are!!

because insecurity and lack of independance and the inability to have self happiness is EXTREMLY unattractive! No one wants to be with someone who does not have a life of their own. Healthy relationships mean time APART as well as time together...being clingy is not cute or attractive its often obessive inmature and annoying...not to mention there is nothing more annoying than a girl who is always clingling to her bf or vise versa like hes gonna run away or something no one wants to see you all over your bf 24/7! Anyways bottom line if your clingy chances are you have a lot of insecurity issues and feel like you can't be happy unless you are with someone and you depend on them for your happiness. IF your asking this because your clingy my advice to you is to find self happiness and cofidence on your own..when you have that you wont feel the need to cling to a guy and you will find better guys who will want to stay with you....confidence and independance are sexy so loose the clinginess and find yourself.

because it's annoying. clinginess is just insecurity and weakness and it's exasperating to have to babysit the person you're dating.
