I'm 17 years old, active in serious relationships and have constant mood swings. It seems to me that during the day time I don't mentally function very well, I'm less active in intimacy with my girlfriend, I feel disconfident, contempt, I can't discuss intimate things, I can't think and I'm less emotional. But when nighttime comes, all of that changes to it's exact opposite. I'm very active at night, I can really become intimate with my girlfriend, I feel very confident, I think extremely logically (this helps me write my stories much better) and I'm very emotional. Then the next day comes and I feel that everything I did the night before was stupid. Is there a psychological reason for this?

It doesn't seem to be psychological because you're mood wouldn't cycle through extremes from day to night from any disorder to my knowledge. It seems to me during the day you may be confronted with a variety of stressors and find it difficult to manage your emotions and the night time is the only time you're able to relax and feel free being you, expressing how you feel.
You shouldn't feel stupid you're growing up and learning how to manage your world. Everyday is not going to be perfect. It may be helpful to begin a daily diary or chart of sorts to identify what precipitates your moods swings to negative during the day and after identifying them write an alternate way to manage these changes.

Mood swings are very common. (I'm 17 as well)I cant remember a day when i felt stupid for at least one thing i did that day. But also the part of you in the morning that is groggy and detached from the world could be your sleep patters or diet, or maybe you are a night owl and that is your peek.

i find than when i first wake up and during first period i can barely function and that i get annoyed extremely easily (i have math first period so that doesn't help). Or maybe your endorphins are reacting more later in the day that gives you energy so you feel more spontaneous and can think more creatively (i like to write my stories at 12 o'clock at night as well)

this is just what i have experienced myself

That is normal. It is a trained behavior experienced with most men. During the day you spend most of your time with guys and act like it. During the night you spend more time with girls and act like it. Don't worry to much. If it bothers you too much then just practice. Just like in sports when you program your muscles to do a certain activity when a certain situation occurs it is called muscle memory. Your emotions can do the same thing.

Bipolar disorder is when you have mood swings at random. Not at specific times.

What I do know that as a teenager you have hormones raging through your body at the highest levels you will see in your lifetime. Mood swings and weird feelings are very common. Maybe you should talk to a doctor to make sure you don't have some sort of imbalance but there is a good chance you are normal.

sure that's totally prevalent!! you have purely grow to be an adolescent and your physique is going by using differences and hormones are purely riping by using your physique. The temper swings may well be everywhere from easy to insane(often interior the midsection someplace) I bear in mind while i became into an adolescent the temper swings have been rather undesirable. i assumed that i might pass loopy with it. good day you carry in there guy that is going to pass away and issues will tender out. mean time discover some thing actual which you're able to do to help vent a number of your frustration, that is going to help slightly besides.

Mood swings are common in teens, your brain's going crazy with all kinds of changes. I'm sure that there is a logical reason why you feel better at night, though I know none. Maybe you just need time to wake up. Anyway, hope you figure it out!

I always heard it is common for teenagers to have mood swings. So guess it is OK. I was exactly like you from like 15-19, i used to feel bored and moody day time but at night i wanted to have all the fun, i was more active.

Could be as simple as you are just a night person, or it could be more. I would definitely talk it over with either a parent or other trusted family member to see if they notice it as well. It could be that you just have some minor chemical imbalance or it can also be certain foods you eat. You may want to consider asking a doctor.

I get mood swings too often myself. Best thing to do is to think of the most positive things you can, exercise, listen to music, read, or anytrhing to distract the discomfort.

VAMPIRE BLOOD LINES? SERIOUSLY, WHAT'S YOUR DIET CONSIST OF? EXCESSIVE SUGAR? ALCOHOL?DRUGS? YOUR WEIGHT? ALL THESE THINGS CAN ENTER INTO THE SITUATION AND SOMETIMES ITS A LITTLE OF EACH. IVE ALWAYS CAUGHT A SECOND WIND IN THE EVENING AND HAVE TO WATCH MYSELF OR I CAN GET CAUGHT UP ANSWERING QUESTIONS. YOU MIGHT WANT TO START WITH A DAILY VITAMIN AND ALSO CONSIDER A PHYSICAL, MAYBE YOU HAVE A MINERAL IMBALANCE. IM OLD ENOUGH TO BE YOUR GRANDFATHER AND I HAVE TO TAKE CHROMIUM SPORADICALLY TO INCREASE THE CIRCULATION IN MY LEGS. HATE IT! AFTER A COUPLE OF DAYS I QUIT AGAIN UNTIL .......... THE PAIN RETURNS. ILL PRAY FOR YOU!!

GOD BLESS
