I've been using the veet cream on my legs for about 6 months now. I loved it for the first five and a half, but tonight it seems I've recieved a chemical burn! How can I make the pain less? I've got red bumps and stinging, this happened after only 30 seconds, and on only part of my leg. (the back calf of both legs). Any suggestions?

This happened to me. I called the number on the back and they said to treat it like a sunburn and put aloe on it. The bumps went away in about two days. It sucks.

ouch! i got that stuff for christmas, but can't use it anymore because my entire legs (and everywhere else i put it) went up in flames! it must not be good for sensitive-normal skin.

anyway, take an oatmeal bath. it will help with the burn/itch and apply aloe, which will soothe the pain and speed up the healing process.

another suggestion: don't use it again! why would you want to smother yourself in chemicals? that stuff gets in your pores and can't be good.

you could now get steroid cream over the counter on the pharmacists discretion - Hydrocortisone its called. or you basically could pass away it on my own until that's thoroughly dry and prepare moisturiser and rub down it to circumvent scarring.
