nothing. there is lots of evidence to show that the original jews didn't even believe in an afterlife. if they could do it, surely so could i.

I don't know how that discovery would be made - I believe with all of my being in the Bible and all that it teaches. Being purposefully sinful is a burden - a yoke as the Bible describes and it couldn't be more true. I have found that being washed clean by Christ and living for God is what I was looking. I lived 40 years a life of wanton sin, doing only what I thought and wanted - it is a life of chasing after something that is never around the next corner. How many parties, how many empty 'relationships' (one night stands) until your a complete man or woman - the answer is none. Taking doing drugs and pornography for instance, a person keeps going back to using, looking for that first high but never finding it.

No! Because if later on it was all for nothing I am still a better person because of the way I believe. And I have lived and will continue living a wonderful life full of values and caring for those around me. Knowing someone is watching over me gives me hope and comfort. And I will teach it to my children when they are young. Then they can make their own choices.

Absolutely not. I don't drink, party, and try my best not to act like a heathen.
I love my family, life is good..why would I change..and most importantly...God has been good..and I KNOW that this life is not the end..there is a place waiting for me that is more wonderful than anything any one could ever imagine...after this life is over, I will go home to my Father.

there is no afterlife....if so, you would sell all your belongings and devote yourself for the afterlife...the common back answers is "faith" that it is.....its a way to calm the population from the truth

You bet it would. I would practice vengence instead of forgiveness. I would take whatever I feel I could get away with. When things seem hopeless and painful I would take my own life. I would be my own God and make my own rules without a guilty conscience haunting me. Your life nor my life would have any meaning. I cannot think of a more atrocious way to life!
Thank God for being in my life.

Yes, I would have shot my self by now. But since suicides go to hell, I guess I'll put up with this life a little longer.

I agree with the first post. OT is pretty clear, there is not one. Jesus (or whoever made that story up) and Mohamed came along and sweetened that deal.
