yeah anyone can. christmas is only a christian holiday because of the christians being stupid fu*kin @ssholes and forcing their religion on the pagans of the north. they took their winter celebration (they celebrate winter because winter means death but without death you cant have rebirth and beauty) and combined it with christiaity to avoid being killed. same thing with easter (it was the spring celebration to represent the rebirth after death and the fertility of the land thus the easter bunny because rabits are a symbol of fertility)

so if a pompus arrogant christian can celebrate an ancient pagan holiday that has been ruiend by christianity then anyone can. im an athiest but i celebrate x-mas because it is a celebration of winter which is a fu*kin awasome season.

A Muslim can celebrate any occasion which doesn't contradicts with the teachings of Islam. Also the calibration itself should be in an Islamic code. A Muslim shouldn't believe that Jesus was crucified. Nether he should believe that Gos is his father. Nor should he drink whine or bacon. Sure he shouldn't also pray with words of the Bible. If a Muslim needs to celebrate by fasting that day "sense he respects the prophet" then I think he should do it for all other prophets, sense doing it only for Jesus will mean a belief that Jesus is elevated than other Prophets of God, where as they are all (All Prophets Sent By God) are just the same "as being literary mentioned in Quran" when it says that "We don't defrenciate between any of God's Prophets"...don't remember the surah (Chapter) thought but this the meaning of the text.

And Allah knows the best.

Note: this is not a "fatwa", (an authenticated answer). It is just my point of view and understanding.

Christmas is not a Muslim holiday. The only holidays that we practice are Eid al Adha and Eid AlFitr. These are our holidays and there is no reason to celebrate another religions holiday.

why not? Christmas is a gathering for families & their loved ones, and they have families & loved ones too .... so why not, we Christians respect the Ramadan, although we do not celebrate it.

I don't see why not. Most have forgotten what it really means. It's not about spending money at the end of the year to make retailers rich.
