Isn't it possible that aliens put all the religious books here to trick us and see how dumb humans could be and what ridiculous things they would believe. Maybe it's a competition? The alien with the most members by the year 3000 wins and all the Atheists get 72 virgins for not buying into the bulls***. This is an entirely possible scenario. The reason no one believe it is because there is no evidence for it. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Yes, that is possible. It is possible that God/Jesus will descend from heaven one day to put everything right, but I am not counting on it! Science and learning are by no means perfect, nor do they have all the answers, but they are far better than vain superstition.
"Shake off all the fears of servile prejudices, under which weak minds are servilely crouched. Fix reason firmly in her seat, and call on her tribunal for every fact, every opinion. Question with boldness even the existence of a God; because, if there be one, he must more approve of the homage of reason than that of blindfolded fear. " --- Thomas Jefferson

The only way to answer this question is to know that without religion people would do all sort of bad things without any thing to stop them. The use of religion is to have a creator that will give "justice" at the end.

Sure your end is close, and don't be so scared if your "Creator" sent you to hell sense you are mocking his existance.

If people were wrong and there were no religion at all as you said, then sure they won't lose anything following a belief like this. But if people were right and it turned out to be that there is a God, then sure you will be in a deep trouble dude!

Use your brain, you are saying what you are saying with an absent mind, and if you sure want to know if there is a God or not, just see yourself when you are near to your death, who will you request for help, God or the Aliens!

Good luck Alien Man!

It does not take aliens to make people look stupid and trick them. Humans are stupid enough to trick themselves, even when they know it is a trick. Just look at how they follow Rush, Sean, and Bush (two guys too stupid to finish school and one who's dad paid so he would be allowed to finish).

I think by now, any fair minded aliens would have used the 'mercy rule' to stop the embarrassment.

I dont want 72 virgins. I want to be God. I dont think aliens care about such a moronic species.

I was with you until you started talking about competition and virgins; seems like you've been reading a mixture of the Koran and David Icke

I suppose it's possible, but occam's razor says that maybe those books are just artifacts of a mythology of the past. And, unfortunately, a mythology of today.

To be honest the "ancient astronaut theory" makes more sense to me than this stuff that organized religion is trying to sell to everyone. At least you can make a logical argument for aliens.
