Your sinuses can wreak havoc on most of your head including your ears. You probably have an infection in you ear. Or perhaps a build up of fluids and or ear wax. Either way you will probably have to see a doctor to get it fixed. in the meantime you could try "flushing your ear" here is a link on how to do it at home.

Your ears, nose and throat are all connected. That is why your nose can be congested and your ears hurt or you can have a sore throat and your ears hurt as well. No you didn't cause any harm to your ear nor do you have an infection. Colds can be long lasting. While you have none of the major symptoms that made you so miserable for the past week you still have "head congestion" accounting for feeling congested in yout ear drums. Vapor products can be helpful. Johnson & Johnson for kids but can be used by adults of course where you squeeze into your bath water like bubble bath and it loosens congestion. I bet id you used this and vapor rub on your chest and a little under your nose if your nose skin is not irritated and you'll be all new in the morning.

YES! it can, this has happened to me before, blowing too hard can blow the mucus into your ear canal and block it causing pain, if this is what is causing it then a solution would be applying a hot pack over your ear to dry the mucus, bringing relief. if your ear is not plugged then it is probably just the pressure of blowing your nose. i would avoid blowing it or blowing it very gently. it is most likely not an infection i would try the hot pack and if that does not bring relief then see a doctor.

I hate it when this happens. You know how when you go up in elavation your ear pops? Or how when you get on a plane, your ears pop? Basically same thing. Easiest way for me is just swallow alot, and/or chew gum.

Sounds like you have inner ear infection. If you don't get it looked at and get some anti-biotics it can lead to more serious issues
