If you had no choice but to pick one, would you rather your child be:

1. Gay (not just attracted to others of the same sex, but acting on that attraction, if you get my meaning)

2. Atheist

3. Pagan

You must pick one. If you're going to say "Christian" or "none," don't bother answering. I'm not asking if you think this would ever happen, but if, despite all your efforts, it did, which would you rather your child be? This is just a hypothetical question.

Please explain your answers. Thanks.

I'd say it's a toss up between Gay and Pagan. Atheist isn't a choice because that means they don't believe in God at all - at least if they were Pagan they would have some belief in a higher power and it just means they were independent enough to choose their own path instead of blindly following mine.

As for gay - I wouldn't care either way as long as my child was happy and healthy. My husband would freak out :), but I would love my child no matter what.

I hope and pray that none happen, but my answer would be gay. Atheism and Paganism are so far away from what I teach my child that I feel it would be hard (but not impossible) for her to return to Christianity. This may sound strange, but I feel it would be easier for her to turn away from homosexuality than Atheism or Paganism. Homosexuality is a "lifestyle" choice, Atheism and Paganism are both "religious belief" choices. It's all sin, and Satan has a way of making sin look really attractive, so I'm doing my best to teach her right.

I couldn't pick one as better than another so I would have to say they are all a tie(that is not saying none of them, if I had to choose one I would leave it to chance.) I already have children and if any one them turn out to be anything mentioned I wouldn't love them any more or less. (I already love them unconditionally) I would hope they will continue on in the faith and I believe they will.

I really hope they are good people as they grow up--they are good people so far. If they manage to remain kind, non-judgmental and loving people than I om OK.

Sorry I can't pick one of those but I just don't think any one is better than another. You can't tell about someone by a title such as the ones you have given. (people have to be looked at by their character not a religion or sexual orientation)

As unpopular as it may be I believe that God looks at people individually and at their particular circumstances. He sees into a person's heart and mind. Many people who are Atheist, Pagan or homosexual are better people than some Christians.

ok, that's surely undesirable...whether it popped into my head so i think like I could ask. is the same intercourse couple male or women? sure, that throughout all likelihood shouldn't rely, yet while i visit respond to actual, then I could understand. Edit: ok, i don't experience as undesirable now that others have the same feeling. i does not choose 2 adult males raising my youthful newborn, gay or right away. i think of youthful babies choose the affection of a mom. for this reason it would rely to me, if the gay couple have been women folk...then the question will become elementary. in the event that they are adult males...then i'm unable to provide an honest answer...i'm conflicted.

Atheist as it is more palatable than Gay (to me), plus both have an equal chance to come to God later in life when they grow wiser. But, a pagan believes in false gods and would be the hardest to overcome since they have a warped view of religion.

On the Blind, Deaf, or Paralyzed question. I have children whom I want to see and hear so Paralyzed is the answer for me...Good question!

easy Gay. I would love my sons if they loved other men that is their sin not mine and I will not judge them for that. As long as they are good boys with good hearts and dating a good gay man than I will not care.

Being Christian if they were atheist or pagan it would break my heart knowing they took another path away from God's love.

I am muslim, but I rather my child be pagan. Because at least they still accept that there is something more in this universe than them(i believe atheist are extremely close minded people) and homosexuals just have mental issues :S

They are all mortal sins, which means sins that lead to death. So, I would say none of the above. I wouldn't want my child to be selfish, prideful, a fornicator, murderer, adulterer or a rapist either. Why would someone want to wish something bad on a child?
