Instead why do we want someone to do it for us....Are we really learning about why we are here or are we getting stuck in the loop of this human experience

Actually you do have the power to save yourself with your choices. God sent His Son to die for your sins so you can live. Believe in Jesus and you will be saved. No one can do this for you.

How about because we cannot save ourselves? If in Adam all have sinned, then how can we possibly say that we have that ability? It's not that we want someone to do it for us -- rather the opposite, the world doesn't want to be saved, and we have only one choice in our "free will", and that is to reject God. We're not just partially dead, we're "really, most sincerely dead" to quote a phrase. God has to be the one to get us out of this situation.

JESUS SAVED US FROM OUR SINS!!!!
Jesus already paid the price on the cross for us! Jesus suffered and died for our sins. All we have to do is accept him into our hearts and believe in him. Be baptized in his name Jesus, Acts 2:38. 1peter 1:16 states be ye holy for I am holy. So we need to put on the whole armour of God which is the Bible.
No one said it was going to be easy, We have to work to gain the prize. No pain no gain! You snooze, you lose!

Our fight is spiritual and we need to walk in the spirit galatians 5:22-25

And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the spirit, let us also walk in the spirit. It might not be easy look at King David was a man after God's own heart. He did the above things, but David could pray and he was sorrowful for his sins. God knows your heart and he knows what you are thinking.
I hope this helps as christians we are human and if we do not walk in the spirit we fall. But do not quit, dust yourself off and by his mercy and his goodness we ask for forgiveness and pray we can that we live like he wants us to live. We are running a spiritual race to go to heaven to reign with him for eternity. Philippians 2:9-11

You must clearly understand that God had agreed with Satan to mislead and seduce human to disasters, Satan is invisible to our human eyes, Satan's mission is to destroy our faith towards the God. This is the reason why some people had chosen to be religious, they get very close to the God so that there won't be a chance for the Satan to come near. No one had to be blamed , the choice is in our own hand to choose between the God or the Devil.

If you're referring to a spiritual salvation, we can't save ourselves. Sorry, my ego is not that big that I think I'm good enough to save myself. That's why Jesus died on the cross- because nothing anyone could do would ever be price enough to cover all of our sins. Salvation happens one way- through faith in Jesus.

We can't save ourselves because we are human and we don't have divine powers to do so. We are too sinful to earn our way into Heaven; that's why Christ had to sacrifice Himself for us.

christian religion and bible and the jesus and god stuff is all a bunch of old fairytales to control human activity. It is all fake, but it does put at ease those that don't have purpose or don't know what their purpose in this life. You bible huggers never seams to amaze me how lame you are.
