It sounds like it could be a migraine. I was just recently diagnosed with them myself. I used to get them when I was younger then nothing (or so I thought) for a long time. As is turns out, I never stopped getting them. I just didn't realize it. I would get a headache that would last a couple of days (on one side) that would just be painful enough to annoy me. It stayed that way for years until I had one a few months back and my vision blurred (scared the ___ out of me) . I went to the doctor and was given medication and now, they go away not long after taking it. My doctor told me that all migraines don't effect you the same way. You may or may not get the nausea, blurred vision, light sensitivity or severe pain. He also said that headaches that last for a couple of days and levitate to one side or the other could also be a migraine. I don't know if you are a man or a woman but, they can sometimes be hormonal. Go to your doctor and let him check it out. The only thing that helped me before the medication was Advil or Aleve (maximum dose). I hope you feel better.

It could be a sinus infection. I get migraines...and if it lasted that many days Id kill myself. Migraine headaches are debilitating.
You could also have a "kink" in your neck that would work its way up your neck to your head. If you aren't getting any relief from over the counter pain relievers...See a doctor. You probably have an infection of some sort. If you have any other symptoms...like blurred vision, nausea, vomiting, vertigo, fatigue or are running a fever. Don't wait and see a Doctor today.

Migraines are usually accompanied by at least one of these...
1) Nausea and/or vomiting.
2) Increased sensitivity to light.
3) Increased sensitivity to sound.
You really should see a doctor to be safe. Unexplained headaches could be a sign of anything from stress to an aneurysm or stroke.

I'm a migraine sufferer and if you say you are completely fine...you are probably not having a migraine.
Migraine's make you want to die. You are nauseous, sore, tired, disoriented, etc etc. In the middle ages people used to kill themselves from migraines because they thought they were possessed. I can believe it!!!
Call your doc though, it still sounds bad.

Headache is a pain in the head, scalp or neck. Headaches can be
caused by minor problems like eyestrain, lack of coffee or more
serious reasons like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and
meningitis. Taking painkillers continuously can have harmful side
effects, so it is better to modify your lifestyle. More information

Might just be a stress headache.....find a dark place to rest, try a cool cloth over your forehead. I would talk with a doc. just to be sure esp.ly if it doesn't stop in the next few hours- 5 days is a long time.

Oh sweetie, this isn't something to mess around with if you have had it this long. You need to go see your doctor ASAP. I suffer from migraines myself from time to time and they last 3 days...but they are made a little better by Advil migraine medicine. Please don't wait any longer go to your doctor NOW.

see a doctor immediately--this is not a normal headache. it could very well be a symptom of something serious--please dont hesitate. this is especially worrisome if you dont have a history of migraines.dont just try to treat the symptom---find out from a doctor what the underlying problem could be.
