they haven't realized how they have been corrupted through the media and public education to have a form of godliness but deny the power there of....
it is a farce...... good and evil..... right and wrong..... moral or immoral.... all these things they know full well require a judgment call and a standard to be set.... alas they either follow some form of Deity or they fear their rulers who subject them to a form of tyranny to deny themselves true power...
the true atheist will agree with me and the logical reasoning....and suggest that it is simply easier to get along and go along
where as the "atheist" who is not true but just rebelling against religious dogma because they don't know what to believe will suggest that it is because they are intelligently moral... what a fouled sense of logic... unless they are just behaving so to fit in as well but don't realize it yet

1.) A person can believe in lots of spiritual things--including karma--even if they don't believe in god/s. Look up the etymology of "atheist" some time.
2.) Morality does not come from religion, it comes from societal need. I behave morally because I am a human being, because I know what is needed for me to be a positive addition to the society in which I live. I am good because I choose to be so, because I have the ability and responsibility to make the world better than how I found it--not because I'll be punished if I don't, or because I'll get a mansion in the clouds if I do, but because I have a brain and a heart and I CHOOSE to do good.

"I believe there is no God."
Having taken that step, it informs every moment of my life.
I'm not greedy. I have love, blue skies, rainbows and Hallmark cards, and that has to be enough.
It has to be enough, it's everything in the world and everything in the world is plenty for me.
It seems just rude to beg the invisible for more.
Just the love of my family that raised me and the family I'm raising now is enough that I don't need heaven. I won the huge genetic lottery in my son and I get joy every day.
Believing there's no God means I can't really be forgiven except by kindness and faulty memories.
That's good; it makes me want to be more thoughtful. I have to try to treat people right the first time around. I don’t have the “save all” option of saying “please forgive me” and all of a sudden, all is OK. Lies you tell about people, that effect many things to come, ideas you plant in people’s heads, cheating on your wife, all goes away with a little prayer “please forgive me”.
It’s a great gig, I can see the attraction, and personally I find it gut retching.
Believing there's no God stops me from being isolated into just one mind frame. I can read ideas from all different people from all different cultures. Without God, we can agree on reality, and I can keep learning, growing, and understanding. We can all keep adjusting, so we can really communicate.
I don't travel in circles where people say, "I have faith, I believe this in my heart and nothing you can say or do can shake my faith." That's just a long-winded religious way to say, "Shut up," or “F- you”.
But all obscenity is less insulting than, "How I was brought up and my imaginary friend means more to me than anything you can ever say or do."
So, believing there is no God lets me be proven wrong and that's always fun. It means I'm learning something.
Believing there is no God means the suffering I've seen in my family, and indeed all the suffering in the world, isn't caused by an omniscient, omnipresent, omnipotent force that isn't bothered to help or is just testing us, but rather something we all may be able to help others with in the future.
No God means the possibility of less suffering in the future.
Believing there is no God gives me more room for belief in family, people, love, truth, beauty, sex, and all the other things I can prove and that make this life the best life I will ever have, I’m not greedy, I don’t demand more, it’s more than enough for me.

By the gods.... why do people ask this every single day? isn't it obvious already?
Do you live in this world? Well so do Atheists. Don't you think it's alot nicer to live in a world where everyone isn't trying to hurt each other all the time? Well so do Atheists.
Aren't you capable of figuring that out with your own teeny tiny brain without words from a 2000 year old book telling you that?
Well, you know what? Atheists are.
Open your eyes.

It's more empowering to be a good person because I want to, and not because I have to.
There's also a social contract that's natural in the human nature. I do not lie, cheat, and steal because I do not wish for someone to do those things towards me.
If belief in God is the only thing that keeps you from doing those things, you worry me.

I try to lead a good life simply because I like to live in a way that is peaceful and dedicated to solving problems. Being honest and kind feels betters and leads to a simpler more enjoyable life. I don't need to fear eternal damnation to live a good life, and I pity those who do.

So if it weren't for your bible you would run amok?
There are laws, you know, and the desire to not go to prison comes into play as well as the fact that we still have to live on this earth. We may as well try to make it a better place while we are here and for our having been here.

I should refer to the almost all-Christian prison population?
Ever heard of humanity? fellow human beings? love? friendship?
You really need a God to tell you that cheating and stealing is wrong? Gosh, religious people scare me. This means if God might be disproven, you'll go running around town shooting people?

Well, I guess I would point out that if the ONLY reason you aren't lying cheating and stealing is that you're afraid of divine retribution.. well..
That would make you more of a suck-up than an actually moral person. (I'm not insulting you, I'm just pointing out that real morality doesn't come about through fear.)
