My mother has taken me to the doctor and she says it's growing pains, but I've had growing pains and they felt nothing like this, also, I haven't grown for the past two years. And it only hurts in my right knee...does anyone know why?? I do not rememeber hurting it, and I can't stand taking meds, they make me puke and feel lightheaded. Does anyone know why my knee is doing this?? My mother has gotten many opinions on it and they all don't know!! They all tell my mom that they aren't sure but they think it's growing pains!! I have had these pains for almost a year now an my other leg is starting to hurt b/c i'm putting more weight on it. Why is my knee doing this!?

More information is needed before anyone can help you. How old are you , how and where does the knee hurt. My suggestion is whether you are involved in sport or not see someone that is trained in sports medicine perhaps a physiotherapist. This type of thing is where they are best suited doctors are best suited for diseases.

Well, I'm not certain what your problem is, i think you better get it tested 4 a lot of thing like osteoporosis, arthritis or even a tumor or something wit your marrow, or it could be ,muscular pain...but it could be growing pain if its your preferred leg and you play sport
Hopefully everything works out for you well :)

it's hard to answer this because you never stated the symptoms... knee pain is kind of vague... where does it hurt (the back, inside outside, etc), what kind of pain is it (stabbing, sharp, shooting, dull, etc), how long does it last (constant, intermittent), what triggers the pain (sleep, walking, standing, getting out of a chair, climbing stairs), what relieves it (sleep, massage, medication), and other stuff- is it red, swollen, does it give out on you? You need to list these things to get any answers.

You didn't really describe what your knee is doing.
