Yes. It's reported that you should drink every 15 min of intense workouts. I usually drink water constantly, especially before a meet. Also drink room temperature fluids, cold drinks take longer for the body to asborb. Sometimes you feel fluid sitting in the pit of your stomach while you run, its becuase the fluid hasn't asborbed into your body yet. During the meet I keep myself very hydrated especially if it's hot or dry inside. Sipping right before you run shouldn't be a problem if its room temperature, you may have to go to the bathroom a lot but your body will be well hydrated and thats always a good thing.

Eating: You should never do the long run without eating something before. The best thing is to do a light meal rich in carbohydrates and avoid fatty foods. Try to finish the last meal from 2:30 to 3 hours before the starting of the marathon or the long run.
Drinking: Avoid alcohol drinks, soft drinks or too much coffee, since they cause a false sensation of quenching thirst and dehydrate the body. 30 minutes before the beginning of the marathon or long run, it is advised to drink 400-500ml of water.

As there is a need to hydrate the body, drinking water or any energy drink before the run is definitely good. But, it has to be taken 90mins before running. This is to avoid stitch during the run. If your throat is dry minutes before the run, take light sips.
Avoid fizzy drink as it will cause burping and the carbonated content will affect the body's performance.
Train and condition yourself to run like a camel. Enjoy running!

You should eat and drink before you run, but not too much because you might get cramps, it just depends on what you are running. Then after running you should drink some water and eat some fruits, it good for you. It make you have energy for you when you run. And don't ever eat or drink and milk products before you run because it slows ya down and you won't be able to run good. But after you are completely running you event you can. Trust me that happened to me before.

Yeah of course, dehydration worsens performance
Not alcohol or fizzy drinks of course
Not so much that u can hear it moving in ur stomach
Take regular sips before, (during) & after
Drink 1litre of fluid after training for every hour u do
Don't drink too much water as it will flush out ur body's vital salts- instead try fruit juice dilated with water or energy drinks

Yes to a certain extent but you never want to drink just because you think you should if you pan on running you should drink frequently like 60 minutes before so you dont get cramps but you should take a dirnk or two (just a couple swallows) like every 1/4 mile so you dont get cotton mouht and damage our asofaguse.

Everyones body is different and you have to take into factor what you eat through out the day to help with how much water you should drink. If you have eaten a pretty large meal or the last meal you ate filled you up pretty fast then the water you drink will weigh you down faster then if you had something light or nothing at all. Also if you have been drinking water through out the day then your body is less likely to need as much before or durning your run.
An hour before you run drink 8oz of milk with one to two tablespoons of honey. (honey is a natural stimulant) Then sip on water all the way up to 15 minutes before you run.
Good luck to you and heres and article on the honey for you!!
Bee Pollen
The benefits of Bee Pollen have been written about for thousands of years in ancient medical texts as Bee Pollen contains all of the nutrients needed to sustain life.
Bee pollen is rich in minerals and vitamins, including calcium, magnesium, manganese, potassium, zinc, riboflavin, thiamin and vitamins A, B6, C, D, E and K, and including 12 different unsaturated fatty acids. It also contains biotin, a vitamin that is important for the skin, hair and nails. Plus, it provides protein, essential oils, essential amino acids, flavonoids and carotenoids, which are important for the synthesis of vitamin A in the body. Because of its B vitamin complex, bee pollen is often taken for increasing energy, vitality, bolster immune function, and for detoxifying the body. Athletes often use bee pollen for endurance, strength, stamina, and mental clarity. There have also been some studies that show it may help in alleviating allergies.
Bee pollen has been used to combat stress, enhance the immune system, improve physical and mental performance and evidence suggests it may have anti-aging effects. Bee pollen also has been known to treat anemia, general weakness, constipation and liver disorders.
There are have been many reports, articles and books that have been written suggesting that the bee pollen benefits extend to being able to slow down the aging process and its ability to effectively lowering your cholesterol levels.

It's good to hydrate before running, but not right before or you will get sideaches. I stop drinking about an hour before I run.
