I think that with the advancement of technology more environmental problems arise, but we can turn that around and also with the advancement technology find ways to combat these. We are able to use renewable energy sources, and we need to act upon reducing CO2 emissions into the atmosphere. Climate change is the most urgent problem, and the leaders and influential people in the world need to make the environment their priority, and seek alternatives to burning fossil fuels. There is technology out there that can solve these problems, such as the development of hydrogen fuelled cars and the newest renewable energy source, solar-hydrogen energy. I was recently a delegate of an international children's summit on the environment, so there are young people thinking about it. I've also found through implementing my environmental project that the general public is willing to do what they can to save the environment, but just don't now what to do and how to do it. John Howard needs to wake up to himself, and see that climate change is a real issue, and that parts of Australia will be flooded in 20 years, and not go around assuring everyone that climate change hasn't been proven.
